The Bodega House, Los Alamos
A cozy 1920s cottage just off Bell Street with two bedrooms and a full kitchen. The garden and outdoor patio are incredible—spacious, peaceful, and perfect for evenings by the fire. Inside, it’s quirky, charming, and full of personality. An easy, walkable stay in the heart of town.

Mattei’s Tavern, part of the Auberge Resorts collection, brings understated luxury to the center of Los Olivos with restored cottages, a pool, and seasonal California cooking. It’s a great place to stay, eat, or simply hang out for the afternoon. We’re especially partial to a martini at the bar.

SOLVANG
Hotel Ynez is a fresh take on a mid‑century motor lodge nestled between Solvang and Santa Ynez. The boutique property offers 22 stylish rooms—all with hammocks, stone patios, and luxe bedding—plus garden hangouts, bonfire pits, and a heated adult‑only pool. It doesn’t have a full restaurant, but there’s a convenient shop for wine and snacks; the rest is better experienced by exploring nearby vineyards—or grabbing one of their complimentary bikes to cruise the valley.

Priedite BBQ is located at Bodega in Los Alamos. Pitmaster Nick Priedite and Brendan Dwan cook old-school barbecue with modern techniques Thursday through Sunday. From brisket, ribs, bandito burgers and tacos, Priedite offers a full menu of sides and desserts influenced by California ranchero culture featuring seasonal and local ingredients.
Full of Life Flatbread is a weekend-only spot in Los Alamos that feels rustic and welcoming. They bake certified‑organic, wood‑fired flatbread pizzas and seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients.
Charlie’s Place in Los Alamos is a laid-back local favorite since 1978, dishing up classic American comfort and homemade Mexican-style plates—all day long. We highly recommend the breakfast burrito if you overindulged on cocktails or wine the night before!
Priedite Barbecue, Los Alamos
Bob’s is known for its hand-made pastries, crafted with only the finest ingredients and natural starters. No added preservatives will be found in any of the items they bake, and they strive to source ingredients locally through farmers and growers who practice the purest growing initiatives. Don’t miss their second location in Ballard, too!
The Los Alamos General Store is a beautifully restored 1880s-era building now home to the charming boutique shop and Pico, a farm-to-table restaurant and wine bar. Pico showcases seasonal, locally sourced dishes and an expertly curated selection of small-production wines.

LOS OLIVOS
Bar Le Côte is a Michelin-recognized seafood tavern in Los Olivos from Companion Hospitality, led by Chef Brad Mathews alongside Greg and Daisy Ryan. The menu leans coastal and shareable—think oysters, crudo, and paella—served in a bright, unfussy space. It’s one of the valley’s best spots for seasonal seafood and a glass of bubbles at the bar.
Nella Kitchen & Bar is a casual‑elegant spot from the team behind S.Y. Kitchen, located inside the Fess Parker Wine Country Inn in Los Olivos. They spotlight simple, high‑quality California‑Italian dishes, paired with craft cocktails by renowned mixologists.
At the heart of The Inn at Mattei’s Tavern, Chef Kevin Malone offers a satisfying, locally inspired menu featuring standout dishes. Many ingredients come from the inn’s garden and nearby farms. The cozy bar room, with its stone fireplaces and dim lighting, is the perfect spot for cocktails and unwinding. A memorable dining experience blending exceptional food with warm, rustic charm.

S.Y. Kitchen in Santa Ynez is a cozy, modern farmhouse–style Italian restaurant led by Chef Luca Crestanelli, who sources seasonal, local produce and seafood for fresh rustic dishes. With a full cocktail menu, standout pastas and wood‑fired pizzas, it’s a top pick for lunch or dinner in the valley.
SY Kitchen, Santa Ynez
Santa Ynez Billiards & Café is a laid‑back pool‑hall‑meets‑Mediterranean‑eatery. It’s known for standout homemade falafel, shawarma, and kabobs—all fresh, full‑flavored, and authentic in this casual setting. The pool tables, large patio and friendly vibe make it a favorite local hangout with hearty food and good beers.
If you're popping into wine country and need a grab‑and‑go meal, Lucky Hen Larder is a Santa Ynez favorite. This artisan deli serves up incredible sandwiches—as well as custom cheese and charcuterie boards that are perfect for winery picnics or a laid‑back afternoon in the valley.
Open daily for dinner, Brothers Restaurant provides a comfortable setting for both casual and special occasions. The attached JC’s Bar, named after longtime friend and bar manager JC Carricaburu, continues the tradition of being a local gathering spot, known for its legendary Filet Mignon Taco Thursdays and a selection of craft cocktails. We suggest grabbing a seat at the bar and ordering off of their burger menu, along with a martini of course!
Na Na Thai, Buellton
BUELLTON
Part of the Companion Hospitality family, Na Na Thai is a vibrant Thai kitchen in Buellton run by Chef Nik and Ashley Ramirez. Inspired by their time living in Bangkok, the menu is packed with bold, authentic flavors. Menu highlights include: tofu spring rolls, fried calamari, pad see ew, and seasonal curries.
This Buellton favorite is housed in a converted warehouse and anchored by a craft butcher counter and wood‑fired ovens. It highlights hyper‑local ingredients sourced from nearby farms, ranches, fisheries, and wild foragers—resulting in seasonal dishes, sandwiches, pizzas, and small plates packed with flavor.
SOLVANG
A Santa Maria–style steakhouse icon, made famous by Sideways and still a go-to for wood‑grilled steaks, local wine, and rustic charm. Run by the Ostini family, it’s a classic spot for a hearty wine country dinner—don’t miss the grilled artichokes or a glass of their signature Pinot Noir.
Hitching Post II, Solvang
Solvang’s first & only ramen shop, run by husband-and-wife team Francisco and Erica Velazquez—both veterans of Michelin-star kitchens in Napa and the award‑winning Ramen Gaijin in Sonoma. Local favorites include the signature Shoyu Ramen with pork belly, Chicken Tan Tan, and rotating seafood specials made with local ingredients. We love the poke bowls too.
A daytime Solvang favorite serving seasonal, farm-driven comfort food from husband-and-wife team Michael and Sarah Cherney. Known for standout sandwiches, soups, and smash burgers—perfect for a relaxed lunch or picnic pickup. Michelin Bib Gourmand and totally worth the stop.

Known for her delicate, site-driven expressions, Angela offers tastings of single-vineyard Grenache in a cozy, modern space. Her rosé is one of our very favorites.
Queen Cup Coffee's Airstream, affectionately known as "The Caravan," brings third-wave coffee culture to the heart of Los Alamos. Founded by husband-and-wife duo Skyler and Alyce Barrick, the Caravan offers a vibrant, inclusive space serving inventive espresso drinks like the Dirty Horchata and Honeycomb Oat Latte, alongside classics such as Flat Whites and Cold Brews.
A cool, low-key beer and wine bar at the Alamo Motel, just across from Bell’s. Part of the Shelter Social Club family, it offers a curated selection of local and international wines and beers in a relaxed, vintage-inspired setting. A beloved late-night spot in Los Alamos, The Depot offers a laid-back atmosphere with pool tables, shuffleboard, and occasional live music. It's the perfect place for late night drinks with friends. The Depot is a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

Storm Wines is a family-owned winery in Los Olivos, founded by winemaker Ernst Storm and his wife, Brooke. Their tasting room, which features one of our favorite sun-lit patios in the valley, offers a selection of handcrafted wines made from sustainably farmed vineyards. The Storms focus on producing wines that reflect the personality of both the vintage and the site, emphasizing elegance and balance. Visitors can enjoy a range of varietals, including Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Gamay, Grenache Rosé, and Syrah.

Known for balanced, terroir-driven wines and a genuine passionate approach to winemaking, this spot is a standout in Los Olivos’s wine scene—especially if you're into quiet craftsmanship and clarity of place.
Downtown Los Olivos’s stylish tasting room for one of Ballard Canyon’s original Rhone-focused estates. Known for estate-grown Syrah, Sangiovese, Roussanne, and Sauvignon Blanc farmed sustainably on limestone soils, their wines are expressive, balanced, and terroir-driven. The cottage-style farmhouse features a relaxed patio, while tastings showcase both classic estate wines and inventive “So Fresh” carbonic-fermented options.
An intimate, minimal‑intervention tasting room in Los Olivos founded by native winemaker Rob DaFoe. A cozy gem in Solvang, Good Seed Coffee Boutique is known for its meticulously crafted coffee and all-organic bakery. Each batch of beans is roasted with care. The bakery offers delights like cinnamon rolls, heritage grain sourdough bread, and vegan gluten-free chocolate chip cookies.

Tucked into the hills above Los Olivos, Demetria is a biodynamic winery known for Rhône- and Burgundy-style wines and one of the most stunning views in the valley. Founded by the Zahoudanis family and helmed today by winemakers Ryan Roark and Emily Myers, the estate sits high above Foxen Canyon surrounded by oak‑dappled vineyards. Reservations are required—and well worth it. Bring a picnic, sip estate-grown Syrah or rosé, and take in the sweeping vineyard views.
Nestled in the heart of the Sta. Rita Hills, Tyler Winery's Mae Estate offers an intimate tasting experience at the Willetts' former residence. With 28 acres of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Syrah, the estate showcases wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region. Spear Vineyards & Winery offers an intimate, soil-to-glass tasting experience. Located in the cool-climate Cat Canyon region of Los Alamos, Shokrian Vineyard is a 100-acre estate known for its commitment to organic and biodynamic farming practices. The vineyard produces a range of varietals including Chardonnay, Gamay, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Pinot Noir, and Viognier, all crafted with native yeasts and aged in French oak and stainless steel tanks. Roblar Winery offers a refined yet relaxed wine tasting experience. Their 5,000-square-foot tasting room is surrounded by 21 acres of oak-dotted vineyards, providing a picturesque setting for guests.
