Spring Wine Guide

These are the bottles we’ve been genuinely excited to pour and drink ourselves, from the team across Companion. Order one with your next meal, or track them down at your local shop and open something nice at home.

"Nat Cool Bairrada 2024 from Niepoort drinks like chilled pomegranate juice because it's so refreshing and zippy. It feels less like a wine and more like electrolytes after a long bike ride on the back roads of Ballard Canyon."

Ryan Pelton, General Manager at Bar Le Côte

"I love a great sparkling! The Arnaud Lambert Cremant de Loire rosé is one of my faves. Made with cab franc using the traditional champagne method. Super fun and crisp, with notes of strawberries, citrus, and some minerality. It reminds me of a warm spring day."

Tamara Zepeda, Lead Server at Na Na Thai

"My BTG pick is our Champagne, Adrien Moreau’s L’Excursion. Because champagne is something I’m happy to drink on any occasion and I know it’ll likely work with whatever I’m eating or just enjoying by itself. For a bottle to accompany a patio lunch on a warm spring day, Tempier Bandol Rosé, it just makes sense. Then for dinner, Athenais Beru’s 2020 Céleste Pinot Noir/Chardonnay from Côtes d’Auxerre. A delicious contemplative wine that continues to evolve in the glass throughout a meal."

Brian Newcomb, Wine Lead at Bell’s

"There are so many delicious wines on the list at Bodega right now. One of my current favorites is the Wavy Wines Grape/Apple Pet Nat. This bottle of bubbles is playful. Immediately after popping the cap, this bottle comes alive. With its juicy cherry notes on the nose and the palate, it’s the perfect wine to enjoy in the garden."

Brian Nickel, Bar Lead at Bodega
